Hi, I'm Sarah Mitchell
I’m a women’s health writer, not a doctor, not a nutritionist. Just someone who spent most of her life feeling fine, until one day she didn’t. Bloating, discomfort, and that constant heavy feeling pushed me to start asking real questions. What I found changed how I eat, how I live, and eventually led me to create FitGlow.
My Story
For most of my life, I never thought twice about what I ate or how my body felt. I was healthy, active, and digestion was the last thing on my mind.
That changed in my late thirties. Almost out of nowhere, I started feeling bloated after nearly every meal. Not just uncomfortable, I mean that tight, puffy, “nothing fits” feeling that follows you around all day. Add to that constant gas, sluggish digestion, and a general sense that something was just off.
I went to my doctor. Everything looked “normal.” But normal didn’t explain why I felt this way every single day.
So I started researching. I read about the gut-liver connection, about how certain foods, stress, and hormonal changes affect digestion in women differently. I experimented with cutting things out, adding things in, tried supplements, and changed my eating habits.
Slowly, things improved. Not overnight, not with one magic fix, but with a combination of small, consistent changes that actually made sense for my body.
FitGlow is where I share what I learned. No hype, no miracle claims. Just honest information that helped me and might help you, too.
What Is FitGlow?
FitGlow is a women’s health resource focused on one thing: helping you understand what’s happening inside your body and what you can actually do about it.
We cover bloating, digestion, gut health, and the hormonal and lifestyle factors that affect how women feel day to day. Everything here is written in plain English, based on real research and filtered through personal experience.
No selling you on a perfect diet. No unrealistic before-and-after promises. Just honest, practical information so you can make better decisions for your own body.
A Quick Note
I’m not a doctor, a registered dietitian, or a medical professional of any kind. Everything on FitGlow is based on my personal research and experience, not medical advice.
If you’re dealing with a serious digestive condition or any health concern, please consult a qualified healthcare provider. What worked for me may not be right for you.
